As Indian society is known for its ethics & culture ,this feature emphasizes on the basic tradition of “ athithi devo bhava” ie treating or greeting guests as or equivalent to god.
The story starts from, chaiturgarh, a small village in the lap of Indian rice bowl- chattisgargh. The village has a very loveable & helpful enviorment . each villager has a pious &  respectful feeling for each other.

Here lives ambanath, who runs a small hotel (dhaba) in which his daughter “mauli” (lead actress) helps him
An orphan youth “debu” (supporting actor)has been brought up by murari in this village. Debu loves his village & people here so much that he can go to any extent for helping them.
Debu & mauli are childhood friends. Debu loves mauli but haven’t expressed his feeling yet. Mauli has big dreams to have a big hotel. She aspires a luxurious life.

One day vibhash (lead actor), a city youth comes to this village. After some incidents mauli & vibhash get attracted & starts loving eachother. In the mean debu meets vibhash.

Debu realizes that vibhash is a gentle hearted person & wants to help villagers without any greed. Hence debu & vibhash become best friends. Villagers as a tradition perform the pious ritual of “ mittan” which is  a promissory ceremony among friends to help & support eachother at all ups & downs throught the life.

Subhash thakur, father of  vibhash is a very rich & has an eye on hidden treasure in the jungles of chaiturgarh. Vibhash hasn’t told about his father to anyone. But he had come to this village with intention to gather trust of villagers & support his father. For the same purpose he spends money on the marriage occasion of a village girl so that his intention of securing blind faith can be accomplished.

Vibhash takes villagers in confidence that there will be a factort made on their land in which the villagers will be employed, thinking of welfare for the village the people sign the land papers. But this deal wasn’t of choice for ambanath hence he starts enquiring about vibhash. In the mean time debu also comes to know about subhash thakur & his people, the truth comes infront ……debu decides to take revenge from vibhash for illegal deeds he did with the villagers.

As truth is uncovered mauli gets oftented by vibhash & speaks badly to him. Mother of vibhash, sarla devi is a strong & honest lady hence  she supports the truth & asks husband subhash thakur & son vibhash …..not to play with emotions of villagers.
